OUR NEEDS
Our major expenses include staff salaries, rental, EPF & SOCSO payments, groceries, marketing bills, utilities and such, amounting to monthly outgoings of approximately RM10,000. Each child pays up to RM400 as monthly contribution. This is hardly
adequate to cover even half the expenses. However, we refuse to charge more as we wish to open our doors to all children whom we can help.
We need to emphasize here that only the staff are paid. The committee members receive no allowance whatsoever for their work whether administrative, travelling or any other expense incurred.

VOLUNTEER
We deeply appreciate volunteers willing to share their time and skills with our
children. Even if a volunteer has no ‘training’ or ‘skill’ to speak of, do please come to talk
to our children and participate in their activities.
Right now, there are university students from Monash University, Taylor’s University,
University Malaya, volunteering with us on a regular basis.

URGENTLY NEEded
Bangsa Ria’s Snoozelen Room is a special sensory room designed to promote sensory development among the children. The room is a place of dazzling colours, sounds and images, built to stimulate the minds of the children. Over the years, however, through usage and two break-ins, some of the equipment need to be repaired and or replaced. As they are specialist equipment, the costs are something that Bangsa Ria is unable to bear
at the moment. As such we are reaching out to generous benefactors to help us defray
the costs of repair and replacement of the equipment.
